Our Pastors

Pastor Krebs has been at the Edmonton Church of God since the fall of 2016, and has been a pastor with Church of God in two other locations around Canada, originally in Hamilton, ON, and then in Chilliwack, BC. With a deep heart for connecting people to God and deepening our connection to the city of Edmonton, he is always advocating for ways to develop relationships inside and outside of our walls.

Pastor Henkelmann has been the associate pastor at the Edmonton Church of God since December 2022. Previously, he pastored the Chilliwack Church of God from 2016-2022 and, before that, completed the pastoral mentorship program and served as an interim pastor in the Edmonton congregation from 2013-2016. He and his wife Stefanie grew up in the Edmonton congregation and are enjoying serving here once again.

Pastor Makus worked for many years as an owner of an autobody business before being called into ministry. He has served as a pastor in Wetaskiwin, AB, Steinbach, MB, and Swartz Creek, MI. Together with his wife, pastor Makus is our pastor of seniors ministry visiting our elderly congregants, encouraging them and strengthening them in their faith, many of which can no longer attend services in person, and tends faithfully to their needs.
